RICS Homebuyer Surveys and Valuations

The Homebuyer Survey and Valuation Report is a product of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and can only be carried out by Chartered Surveyors.

Given the concise nature of the report, typically between 10 - 15 pages, the survey is not suitable for all property types/ages. In our opinion it is most suitable for conventionally constructed buildings built after 1930 however, this will depend on the individual characteristics and condition of the dwelling. The Homebuyer Survey and Valuation Report covers the general condition of the property and particular features which affect its present value and may affect its future re-saleability. The report focuses on matters that the surveyor judges to be urgent and/or significant. The report will also include a ‘market valuation’ and an insurance reinstatement valuation.
